Rhys Jones

I am running for RSM President to represent students with clarity, energy, and action. The RSM has a strong identity and community, and my priority is to make sure every student feels supported, informed, and proud to be part of it.

My main focus will be careers and industry engagement. I will expand careers events, bring in more industry speakers, and strengthen connections with companies across mining, geoscience, and engineering. My aim is to give students real access to opportunities, advice, and networks that help them secure internships and graduate roles.

I also want to strengthen the RSM community. I will work to improve communication between students, reps, and staff, ensure student voices are properly represented, and support inclusive academic and social events that bring the faculty together.

I am committed to strong leadership and delivery. With committee experience and a results-driven approach, I will listen, act on feedback, and make sure promises turn into outcomes.
