Council Representative (PG Business)

Hi! I'm Suzanne Shaikh, an MSc Management student standing to be your next Council Representative (PG Business).

As postgraduates at the Business School, we bring diverse experiences and expectations, but our voices aren't always heard beyond our cohorts. I want to make sure they are.

My Key Initiatives:

1. Collaborate with Other Top UK Business Schools: Partner with universities like Oxbridge, LBS, and LSE to host inter-university networking mixers, panel discussions, and case competitions, for students to build connections across campuses nationwide.

2. Subsidize Careers Club Membership Fees: Work to partially subsidize or create multi-club bundles (e.g., £15 for access to 3 clubs) so that students can join multiple clubs without financial barriers.

3. Launch an Alumni Buddy Scheme: Pair Master's students with alumni from the same programme or career path for mentorship, insights, and guidance.

4. Expand the Global Experiences Portfolio: Advocate for more options for global trips and exchanges, including new universities, industries, and regions.

5. Promote Cross-Programme Networking: Facilitate events that bring together students from Finance, Management, Specialised Master's, and MBA programmes, to strengthen the Business School community.
