Mental Health: Community Engagement Officer

Hello!! I am Seohee Lee (Jamie), second year of biological science applying for community engagement officer.

My motivation comes from a belief that wellbeing grows through collaboration – no one should face challenges alone. I want to help create a community where our imperial experience extends beyond academics to become a space for growth, empathy, and genuine connection. As an approachable communicator, I value listening to others and turning feedback into action. My experience as an educational manager at an international high school in Toronto taught me how to build inclusive, supportive environment – from creating peer mentoring programs to organizing monthly community events so that no one felt left out. More recently, as a supporter for an oncology research event, I learned how collaboration between different disciplines and people can spark compassion and collective motivation. As a being community engagement officer, I will develop an open feedback platform where students can easily share ideas, experience ensuring that every voice helps shape our community. Moreover, I will host informal gatherings themed engagement events to create a safe and friendly space for genuine friendships to grow. Thank you for reading my manifesto! I’d truly appreciate your support and your vote! ☺️
