Hi everyone, I'm Peter Fang, and I'm running to be your Year 4 Academic Representitive. As we head into our final year, clarity, fairness and communication with the department matter more than ever. I want to make sure our workload and support systems work for us, not against us.
I have consistently performed at a high academic level and was on the Dean's List last year. I don't see this as just an honour, but as evidence that I understand the academic pressures we all share and how to work effectively within them. I've also taken coordinsting roles in major projects, ensuring everyone's voice was heard.
I'm someone who isn't afraid of putting in the work. I care about the people around me, and as an ENFJ, I'm genuinely happy to support others when they need help, and that's where I get a simple and real sense of achievemen. This is the attitude I would bring to the role.
If elected, I will:
- Collect your feedback consistently through simple, accessible channels.
- Push for greater transparency and fairness in coursework marking and workload distribution.
- Raise concerns on teaching delivery where needed and follow up until we see progress.
I will take responsibility for communicating clearly both ways: from students to staff, and from staff back to students.
