Hi everyone,

My name is Vishal and I am a fourth year medical student.

My campaign for Vice President is centered on delivering practical, comprehensive, and high-fidelity training opportunities that reflect the modern scope of vascular surgery.

1. Dedicated Endovascular Simulation Program: Through partnerships with external organisations, I will introduce a day of Endovascular Workshops utilizing simulation models. We will focus on key procedures like stenting, coiling, and guidewire manipulation, providing hands-on experience often inaccessible to students.

2. Clinical Placements: We will secure specific short-term clinical observation slots in the interventional radiology suite, vascular ultrasound clinics, and major operating theatres (focusing on aneurysm repair, carotid endarterectomy, and lower limb bypass). This will provide balanced exposure to diagnostic, open, and endovascular management.

3. Vascular Trauma and Emergency Series: I will organize a dedicated series of talks and case discussions focusing on acute vascular pathologies, including management of traumatic injury, ruptured aneurysms, and acute limb ischaemia. This will be led by senior consultants with a focus on quick, critical decision-making.

My goal, if elected, is to help you translate your clinical knowledge into real-world experiences and skills.
