Why Me (Less ChatGPT-ey part for people who won’t read the rest)

Let’s be honest: we’re all on the internship grind, and I know from experience how much networking can seem like a taunting task.

So, I want to create an environment so chill, asking for a referral becomes easy and casual.

Key priorities

  • More engaging socials that are inclusive, low-stress, and fun — making it easier for students across all years to get involved.
  • A signature annual event that celebrates our department and brings together students, staff, and alumni.
  • Opportunities to connect with industry in an approachable, informal way — whether through small workshops, talks, or networking sessions.
  • Greater openness and accessibility around event planning, so everyone feels heard and welcome to contribute ideas.
  • A diverse calendar of activities, shaped not just by committee, but by what you want to see. (Look around the department for QR code for forms)

Vision

EEsoc events are more than just dates on a calendar — they should make our department feel like a real community. My vision is to create a welcoming and vibrant event culture where students can connect, relax, and explore new ideas together.

Accountability & Approachability

I’ll keep communication open, listen to feedback, and work with the rest of the committee to make EEsoc events something we can all be proud of.
