Sofia Moukarzel

Hello everyone!

My name is Sofia, and I’m excited to apply for the position of Chemical Engineering MSc Officer!

I’m originally from Lebanon, but I completed my Bachelor’s degree in the Netherlands. During my studies, I was actively involved as a Student Representative, a member of the Educational Program Committee, the Student Council, and the Publicity Committee of my study association.

Through these roles, I worked on improving the bachelor program by helping adjust courses, restructure deadlines, and introduce initiatives and electives that benefited students. My experience in the Student Council also taught me how to collaborate in a team, make informed decisions, and represent students’ voices effectively. As part of the Publicity Committee, I helped plan events, manage social media, and strengthen community engagement.

Altogether, these experiences have provided me the organizational, communication, and leadership skills needed to represent and support MSc Chemical Engineering students. I’m passionate about making the student experience better for all of us, and all the students that come after us and I’d love the opportunity to continue doing so as your MSc Officer!
