Adithi Rajesh

Hello, I am Adithi, a 2nd Year Chemistry undergraduate running to be your alumni officer.

My objective as the alumni officer would be to create strong ties with Imperial Alumni working in the climate sector. I will invite these students to join the society for its events including talks, panels, discussions, hackathons and mentorship projects.

As a Hall Senior, I regularly collaborate with PhD students engaged in sustainability research and know others involved in climate-focused startups. These connections will help me reach out to the right alumni who can share valuable insights and opportunities.

I plan to introduce a mentoring system, similar to the Careers Service, that matches each interested student with an alumni mentor working in their area of interest - particularly in climate innovation and entrepreneurship.

I also hope to collaborate with the Events Lead to introduce a Climate Tech Hackathon, sponsored by Imperial alumni now working in the sector. This would give our members a chance to network with climate-tech entrepreneurs and develop their own innovative ideas under the guidance of experienced professionals in the field.

Finally, I believe that the most impactful advice comes from those who are actively shaping the field. That’s why I hope to bring in alumni and current students from Imperial’s Scale Space, who are building startups that began right here at Imperial, to share their journeys and lessons with us.
