Shreyas Satish
Hi! My name is Shreyas, and I’m a third-year Biomedical Engineering student on the Computational pathway. I’m very passionate about how coding can be applied to solve complex biological problems, from image processing to predictive modelling, machine learning and disease prediction.
I’m experienced in Python and currently expanding my skills in Java, C/C++, and MATLAB. I’d love to use these skills to help make the Computational Biology Society a super fun and engaging community. By running events that are educational and enjoyable, we can inspire more students to explore the exciting projects involving coding and biology.
As Events Officer, I’d like to:
1. Organise interactive coding workshops on modelling biological systems and data analysis, and a few hackathons
2. Invite speakers working in computational biology, bioinformatics, and AI in healthcare
3. Partner with other societies, such as Neurotech, to host collaborative events that expand our reach and knowledge
4. Initiate a team project that members can contribute to throughout the year — something practical and rewarding that builds skills
Overall, I’m enthusiastic, organised, and committed to creating events that people genuinely look forward to! I hope to earn your vote, and I’ll make sure every event is valuable and fun 😁
