Computational Biology: Vice Chair

Hi, I’m Suri, a second-year Medical Biosciences student. I’ve worked alongside a PhD student investigating genetic regulation in neuronal stem cells, where I handled data interpretation for a forthcoming paper on neurodegenerative pathways. Beyond research, I founded The Vietnam Alzheimer’s Organisation, building partnerships with universities and biotech companies to fund and deliver research inspired projects. Through these experiences, I’ve built the academic insight, professional network, and initiative to secure the same level of opportunities, research, internships, and collaborations for every member of this society.

As Vice Chair, I’ll focus on giving every member genuine, career enhancing opportunities. From research placements and internships to networking with academics and biotech professionals, I’ll make sure our society directly benefits your future. I’ll help organise collaborative workshops that build both analytical and research skills. Whether you’re new to computational biology or already exploring it. My priority is making things happen: connecting you with mentors, creating research driven events, and ensuring our workshops and talks lead to real outcomes like publications, summer placements, or project collaborations. With strong links across Imperial, UCL, and King’s, I’m ready to make those doors open for you. Together, we’ll build a society that doesn’t just talk about computational biology, we’ll make it the reason you stand out in your degree and career.
