Hello everybody, Northeners and non-Northeners alike!

I'm Yusuf, a 3rd year Geologist hailing from Manchester (not even that north I know), and this year I want to represent you as your Events secretary. You may have seen me front-of-house at the freshers' fair, and it goes without saying I had so much fun talking to every one of you that paid a visit. I was also a driving force behind our Northern-themed pub quiz last Friday, during which I got to entertain several old faces and a lot of new ones. It's safe to say that I am very invested in planning and producing events that showcase Northern charm and hospitality, for those of you that are looking for a home away from home, and for those of you that are intrigued about the North or simply tagging along with a friend.

I promise as your Events Sec to deliver on a consistent and engaging events plan for people of all backgrounds, even you Londoners! (just kidding). I would bring this to you in the form of an event taking place once every two weeks, from more low-key chats over tea and boardgames to more full on crawls and evenings in the union, with even collaborations with other societies! (they're in the works, promise)
