Hoi, hallo, bonjour! I’m Ruben, born and raised in Belgium and currently pursuing an MSc in Business Analytics at Imperial. During the first weeks, I already met a few Benelux students, but I believe we can and should build an even stronger community that makes it easier to get and stay in touch.
In recent years, the Benelux Society has been largely dormant, which I want to change. As chair, my goal is to revive our society through engaging social events and a passionate committee that brings people with common interests together in accessible, low-threshold ways.
Together, we can celebrate national holidays, binge local TV shows, or even hunt for the best (Belgian) fries in London. Beyond campus, I want to strengthen our ties with Benelux societies at other universities, ensuring you never miss an exciting event or opportunity.
More than anything, I want to build this society back up with the input of every member. Have a fun idea? You will always be able to reach out to me!
