Maria Al-Sibaai

I am running for Deputy President in the hopes that we can make Economics Society one of the fastest-growing societies at Imperial, making it accessible not only to EFDS students but also to the broader cohort at Imperial.

I promise to bring the following to the society:

1. Collaborations with other economics societies across London and the UK.
2. Formalise casual research opportunities with faculty members in and outside the Business School.
3. Bring in economics consultancies and arrange office visits within the industry to talk about the different opportunities available in economic research.
4. Leverage our network to organise events with economists from within and outside our faculty.
5. Provide students with a passion for economic debate the space to present and discuss their interests — with the possibility of case, essay, or MUN-style competitions if there is interest.
