Kaanchana Sivamaran

Hi Everyone! I'm Kaanchana, a second-year Chemical Engineering Student. I believe that strong logistics and careful planning are what turn good ideas into reality. I am running for Logistics Manager to help ensure that everything behind the scenes runs smoothly and efficiently.

My interest in Economics began with my passion for understanding how things connect and how complex systems work. Engineering taught me the physical processes, and economics showed me the human and social systems that shaped our world. It was then that I realized that Economics and Engineering are two sides of the same coin: a drive to find solutions to challenging problems.

As Logistics Manager, my focus will be on keeping everything organised and everyone informed to ensure that everything runs smoothly, from planning to delivery. My main aims are:

• Systematic Planning and Coordination - Creating planning sheets and checklists that provide members with clarity on their duties and deadlines to ensure smooth coordination
• Manage Data and Documentation Efficiently - Create and organize forms, surveys, quick polls and other feedback systems to collect honest feedback from members after events to help guide future projects.
• Collect and Analyse Feedback - Gather event feedback and participation data to use as insights to inform future planning and improve how we operate
• Support Smooth Event Execution - Coordinate the logistical details behind events, everything from room bookings to tracking tasks.
