Hello!

I'm Eloise, a second year Biochemistry student and keen quizzer. I've seen how much of a fun and welcoming community community quiz can be, and the irrevent fun (and sometimes mild derangement) of our events is a key part of that.

This year, I want to ensure we continue to have regular socials (including UC watch parties, sadly without pizza - Treasurer's austerity orders), as well as proper events at least once at term: Quizmas, Qlunar New Year, QuEaster, as well as summer events. I am also willing to go to bat to get at least some society-provided food and drink for some of these.

I am determined to make good on discussions about ICQS running some Union pub quizzes, likely on a monthly basis, and will contact whoever necessary to make this happen. It would be a great way to expand our horizons, as well as a source of income.

Being students in London, we have the great privilege of access to many free or heavily discounted events/venues (the English National Opera is free for under-21s, Shakespeare plays can be seen at the Globe for £5-£10, as well as the multitude of free museums around South Ken), the contents of which often come up in quiz, and as events officer I would be keen to promote these, and maybe coordinate society outings.

I sincerely hope I can spend this year keeping my promises to you all.
