Chemistry: Postgraduate Chair

Hi everyone! I’m Eleni, and I’m running for Postgraduate Chair in the Chemistry Society. I truly want to make our time at Imperial as fulfilling and smooth as possible. I’m passionate about Chemistry, and I want to ensure that everyone in our department can make the most out of their program, both academically and personally.

Having been a chemistry teacher, I’ve seen how vital communication between students and professors is. Now, as a postgraduate student myself, I want to strengthen that relationship from both sides. I’m not afraid to speak up, and I’ll make sure every concern, big or small, reaches the right people and gets followed through.

I’ve also had experience coordinating teams, from volunteering for events like beach cleanups to leading Model United Nations groups in schools. I’ve learned that representing people works best when you’re part of them. That’s the approach I’ll take as your academic representative.

Before the term even started, I helped administer our postgraduate group chat of over 1,000 people, handling everyone’s requests and questions. I’m always online when I’m not studying, so you can count on me to be reachable, responsive, and ready to sort things out quickly.

My goals are clear: to improve communication between students and staff across departments, support a balanced workload, and bridge the gap between undergraduate and postgraduate students by encouraging more postgraduate involvement so our society feels like one unified community.

Thank you for considering me. I’d love to represent you all this year!
