I am standing to run for Publicity Officer of the Arabic/MENA Soc as I think it is so important to use one of our generation’s greatest tools (social media) to share Arab and MENA culture and also encourage others to join our society and take part. As a Marketing student, I know how important it is to have good publicity to increase engagement for the society. I was formerly the Social Media Officer for the UCL Iranian society and used TikTok mainly to share content and expand our society, as well as bringing the wider Iranian community together. I would like to use my creativity and current trends to do the same for the Arabic/MENA society and believe I have a wide range of unique and interesting ideas to bring to the table! Arabic/MENA pop culture is so broad and entertaining that this should be shared with a wider audience this is what I hope to bring to the committee!!
