Ameera Haji

Hello,

My name is Ameera, I'm a second year chemist and I'm running for ChemSoc Events Officer. I've really enjoyed being part of ChemSoc so far and want the chance to contribute and help make future events successful. My experience on my high school committee organising careers events taught me valuable event coordination skills, which I can bring to this role. If elected, I'm excited to work with the current Events Officer Penny, to bring a fresh perspective to the events already being planned, including Chem Dinner. I also want to introduce new ideas for fun new socials as well as organise many academic seminars throughout the year to make ChemSoc events engaging for everyone. Finally, I'm keen to plan a few events in collaboration with other societies across the univeristy to build stronger connections between departments.
