Serena Corry
Hello! I am Serena, a third year medical student. I am running for the role of Vice-Chair for the Students for Global Health society. I am passionate about global health in particular its ability to amplify the good that medicine can do to improve the health and wellbeing of people throughout the world.
I am the current Academic Officer for SfGH society. This involves organising a teaching series for the current BSc students in preparation for their assessments. I am also working to organise a lecture series primarily aimed at years 1 and 2 students. I have really enjoyed this role so far and am particularly grateful for theh opportunity it has given me to learn more about SfGH.
I have held previous roles within societies for example last year I was Vice-Chair of the university's Law Society and this year I am Chair. These roles have enabled me to develop my organisational skills and equipped me with an understanding of the practicalities of student societies
