I shan’t impose my choice here; you can decide.

But an imposition is often necessary on hikes, unless you plan to get lost, which (don’t mind me) can actually be quite fun, but it can be quite difficult to do so dangerously here in the UK. Still, I imagine most of you don’t want to miss the last train out over lost ‘lost’ time.

Over the last year in Fellwanderers, I have developed some navigational and pathfinding skills (often by just running off for a bit into the forest). As deputy president of activities, I aim to lead hikes effectively, accounting for everyone’s pace (possibly splitting into smaller groups depending on the pace differentials). I also plan to reroute some hikes to avoid some of the muddier bits, particularly if it has rained recently, instead of trudging right on through. In terms of trips, our planned roster’s already quite nice (going off of last year’s); though I shall push for some more hikes conducted in collaboration with other societies (possibly Science Fiction and Fantasy or History Society).

So, should you vote for me?
Maybe.
But if you do, at least we’ll never miss the last train home.
