Hi! I'm Suzanne Shaikh, an international student studying MSc Management, standing to be your next International Students Community Engagement Officer.

My Key Initiatives

1. Global Culture Weeks

Each week, Imperial will celebrate a different country, with food stalls, music, workshops, art, cultural showcases, and traditions. A campus-wide passport system will let students "travel the world" without leaving Imperial!

2. Monthly Cultural Dress Day

Once a month, staff and students will proudly wear their cultural attire and celebrate identity through fashion.

3. Inter-University Varsity Events

I plan to collaborate with other UK universities to host varsity-style events that go beyond sports, creating opportunities for international students to network and build connections across campuses nationwide.

4. 'Home Away From Home' Buddies

I will introduce a buddy system that pairs new international students with continuing ones from similar regions or shared interests, helping them settle in socially and culturally.

5. Imperial's Got Talent

I want to showcase the incredible talents of our global student body, from dance and music to art and comedy, spotlighting what makes Imperial so unique.
