I'm Aryan Kumar, a MSc Cardiovascular and Respiratory student of Faculty of Medicine. It's my honor to represent my cohort and make sure all voices are heard.
One of the reasons I'm most suited to this role is because of my excellent communcation skills but also signifciant experience. I have been part of the student council thorughout high school (4 years) and through undergraduate (3 years) equivating to 7 years of representation in UK and Thailand. I am very competent and aware of how the system works and communicate efffectively to bring a postitive change to the experience of the students in my course, providing an excellent student satisfaction as well as for future prospect students.
MY POLICIES:
First and formorest, all students voices will be heard and be ensured that the feedback will be provided to the relevant department as well as informed with the outcome. This will apply to everyone in the course and through consent, this can be shared with the cohort, unless the complaint/feedback wants to be anonymised. As there is a split between females and males in the course, I will ensure there is absolute no form of sexual harrassment and misconduct. I believe we are coursemates and regardless of our differences, both genders are equal and should be treated with the same integrity and respect to each other. Any major or minor incidents of this act will be reported straight to the univeristy.
