Hello again! My name is Ronak and I'm running to be your Phase 1b Wellbeing Representative. Fulfilling this role last year, I had the opportunity to serve as a point of contact between our cohort and faculty, while also helping students get support with their finances, accommodation, personal circumstances and mental wellbeing. I really enjoyed these duties and hope to, with your approval, continue supporting you through one of the hardest years at ICSM.
So why should you vote for me? Firstly, throughout last year I built close working relationships with the team at FEO and gained in-depth knowledge of the structure of ICSM, the Union, and the resources available to us. This understanding and experience puts me in a good position to support you when you reach out to me with your concerns. Even before Imperial, I worked in mental health services for 2 years, training in MH first aid and crisis resolution. I've also extensively volunteered with Shout, an online mental health hotline. Having heard a vast range of stories from people from varied backgrounds, I feel fairly confident that I can help you find the right support while also maintaining the utmost confidentiality.
If elected, I plan to continue identifying trends in our cohort's well-being and present these to faculty and other members of the Union via the SSLGs, aiming to make structured improvements and give you open feedback on your concerns. If you felt I did a good job last year, do consider voting for me!
