Abbie for Wellbeing Representative!
Starting Medicine at Imperial can be exciting but also overwhelming - balancing a demanding course with new routines and social adjustments is no easy task. I am running for Wellbeing Rep because I want everyone in our cohort to feel supported, connected, and genuinely cared for. Our wellbeing deserves as much attention as our academic progress.
Bridge Between Students & Welfare Teams 🌉 I’ll make sure students’ voices are clearly heard by acting as a bridge between our year, the Faculty and ICSMSU Welfare. My goal is to make sure your concerns and feedback are not only listened to but also turned into action!
Wellbeing Events & Drop-ins ☕ I also want to strengthen our sense of community by running relaxed wellbeing events and drop-ins - spaces to chat, de-stress, and look after each other.
Inter-Accommodation & Commuter Socials 🎲 Alongside this, I’ll organise inclusive socials for both those in halls and commuters so that everyone can feel part of the same team.
Open Inbox 💌 Finally, I’ll launch an Agony Aunt Corner - a virtual space and occasional 'Confessions Night' where you can share thoughts or worries anonymously, with empathy and humour.
🫶 My Promise
As your Wellbeing Rep, I’ll be approachable and proactive. I’ll listen carefully, act on feedback, and always keep your wellbeing at the centre of what I do.
Together, we can make the next 6 years at Imperial not just manageable, but meaningful.
