Hi, I'm Alex and I'm happy to be running for Wellbeing Rep this year. As a person who is chronically in uni but also thinks it's a good idea to stay up till 4am every night, I know a thing or two about the more "fun" student experiences (yay sleep deprivation!). But on a more serious note, as Wellbeing Rep I would be the first person you could come to about any worries or concerns you have, be it academic pressure or otherwise, whilst keeping in good communication with the department to get you any support you need. I’d also be there to help signpost you to mental health or wellbeing resources if things ever feel overwhelming.
I know that as Imperial students, we often try to ignore any stress that comes throughout the year, as it is seen as part of the "Imperial experience" for us to have a tough time. And whilst I can't answer your exam questions for you (not that you'd want me to...), I can try my best to get you into the right headspace so that you are confident to walk into any exam and do the best you possibly can every time.
Second year is widely seen as the hardest year for our course. And during this time, it is more important than ever to make sure we as a cohort have the most responsive, safe and easily accessible support system available, and I believe I am the right person to execute this.
