Toni Minkov
Hey everyone, I am Toni, and I’m running to be your wellbeing representative!
Long lab days, tight deadlines, content overload from modules; Uni can get very stressful at times. That’s why I want to help make this year not just manageable, but enjoyable for all of us. I believe mental health should be a priority and I want to make sure no one feels overwhelmed or alone during the academic year.
I ’d be a great fit for this role because I’m a naturally approachable person, and I genuinely enjoy connecting with people and learning more about you. I’m a good listener, open-minded, and always happy to lend an ear, whether you want to talk about stress, student life, or just need a break from chemistry chat. I've also volunteered at several charity runs over the last few years, so if you're ever in need of a motivation boost, I’ve got you!
If elected, here’s what I hope to do:
- Bridge the gap between students and staff, so wellbeing concerns are heard and acted on.
- Build a stronger sense of community within our year group so that no one feels isolated,
- Be open and accessible, actively listening to your feedback and ideas to make sure everyone feels supported and included.
I’m here to represent you, and I’ll do my best to make our department a space where everyone feels heard, valued, and cared for.
Thank you for reading and hope you vote for me!
