Aeronautics (UG): Year One Wellbeing Representative
I want to represent Aero year 1 because I care deeply about others and am committed to making this year enjoyable for everyone.
My student leadership experience includes being on my school's leadership team and serving as editor in chief of our magazine, where I actively promoted others' voices. I have also mentored students of various ages on both academic and pastoral topics.
What's more, I'm also an experienced debater, having been fortunate enough to participate in the largest MUN conference in the UK, where I received the distinguished delegate award. What this means is that I am experienced in conveying ideas in a manner that is concise and clear. This experience in public speaking also ensures that I am able to articulate the concerns of the student bodies to all relevant members of staff, ensuring that any issues are communicated.
If I am elected into this role, I will ensure I remain a friendly face to all members of the cohort, offering support and a channel of communication to articulate any wellbeing issues arising in the student body, and I will fight for appropriate changes to be implemented where possible.
