Hi all! I'm Aki, a Year 2 BMB student dedicated to making sure we, as students, can determine our own learning experience.

As we navigate through Year 2, I want to be your voice for representation and change to ensure that two-way communication and feedback between us students, the BMB Committee, our teaching fellows, and the extended ICSM faculty remains meaningful, smooth, and effective.

Here's how I plan to accomplish this as your Y2 Academic Rep:

To elaborate:

1. I will always be open to hear out your academics-related issues within the course (unless it's 3am the night before an exam, at which time I will understandably be asleep).
2. I will clearly and precisely communicate your issues with our faculty and make sure our issues are acknowledged.
3. I will work closely with our faculty, Committee, and ICSM to make sure we have a say in decisions that may directly affect our curriculum.
4. Throughout this process, I will be transparent with my actions, clearly relaying any progress made on the changes being discussed.

As your Academic Rep, I will commit to bringing about meaningful change in an important year for us, which has great implications on Year 3 placements and our overall course.
