Chibuzor Nwadi

Council Representative (PG Medicine)

My name is Chibuzor Nwadi, and I am standing for the position of Council Representative (PG Medicine) to strengthen the voice and wellbeing of postgraduate medical students at Imperial College London.

Having previously served at the London Metropolitan University Students’ Union, I developed a strong foundation in student representation, policy advocacy, and community engagement. In that role, I worked closely with university leaders to ensure student feedback led to meaningful changes that improved both academic and welfare experiences.

At Imperial, I aim to build an inclusive and supportive postgraduate medicine community where every student feels heard and represented. I understand the challenges of balancing academic excellence, clinical training, and personal wellbeing. My focus will be on improving communication between students and the College Council, ensuring that concerns around placements, research opportunities, and course experience are addressed transparently and effectively.

I am equally passionate about promoting wellbeing and peer connection. I will advocate for stronger mental health support, mentoring networks, and initiatives that foster collaboration rather than competition.

With a proven track record of leadership, empathy, and accountability, I am committed to representing your interests with integrity and action. Together, we can make postgraduate medicine at Imperial a space where every student thrives, academically, professionally, and personally.
