My name is Rafael Alves and I am dedicated to making EEE calmer, clearer, and fairer to everyone in first year.

I believe the function of the year rep is to try to make everyone's life easier, so here are my priorities:

1 - Quick feedback. I will make sure everyone can express their opinion by running a feedback form every two weeks on the WhatsApp group chat, all anonymous. I will make sure the department is aware of what is going well and what is not, trying to find solutions with the department to the problems.

2 - Clear and clean deadlines for coursework. A vital part of succeeding in academic life is also thriving socially, and that would be impossible to do if we are all stuck in our rooms on a Friday night because of piled up work. My job will be to make sure teachers put reasonable deadlines for assignments and distribute it better.

3 - Lecture capture that works. Everyone knows EEE is a demanding course, so all students shouldn't have to chase around to be able to watch their lectures. I believe that the recordings should be uploaded relatively quickly and not a week later.

How I will work:

Constructive with staff, transparent with you. I will keep comms clear and reply to messages quickly.
