Savi Thompson
Hi! I'm Savi, a third-year exchange student from Carnegie Mellon University (CMU). As our cohort of ChemEng exchange students progresses through this year, we will undoubtedly be faced with unexpected circumstances both exciting and challenging, academic and personal. My goal is that together, we find growth through all of these experiences. After all, this is a year of exploration and expansion. It is not simply about modules and exams, but about learning who we are and how we can be in a new environment. You have all impressed me with your stories and your characters, and I want nothing more than to make your time here the best it can be. As your representative, I will value your input and take steps to address your concerns, even when I may have to step out of my own comfort zone to do so. I will continue doing my best to relay helpful information to you as well. In my time as a founder of CMU's Star Wars Club to my work at the Office of Student Leadership, I've come to understand the importance of community and support in creating environments conducive to academic, physical, and personal learning. I'd like to be an integral part of that support for you. Whether it's a small opportunity you've brainstormed or a major challenge reducing your ability to get the most out of your exchange, don't hesitate to reach out! You've made me feel welcome and I plan to do the same for you.
