Alexia Thill
Hi my dearest 4th years !
I am Alexia Thill (the short French person). You probably already know me in my role as Departmental Wellbeing representative, sending motivational messages, arguing for deadlines extensions, securing free snacks for all...amongst many other things.
This year, I want to focus on serving my (let's be honest) favourite cohort out of all. I know how bright, inspiring, driven (and busy) you are, and I want to contribute to making your last year of ChemEng smooth sailing.
Why stand for Academic Rep and not Wellbeing Rep ? One answer- leverage. It is complex to carry out academic rep tasks (which I was already doing last year) with enough credibility as wellbeing rep...not the other way around. I already know who to talk to and how to get what YOU want (aka a calm, well organised and memorable 4th year), I know how to balance rep duties and the rest of my responsibilities and last but not least, I genuinely do care about having a happy, relaxed cohort. I want to help making infos accessible and streamlined (grad applications, coursework deadlines, updates) and make your life as easy as possible.
So yeah ladies and gentlemen vote for me for vibes, a banger end of FYD celebration and the best possible final year in ChemEng 🫶
(attached is a photo of me in a shirt to show how professional I am-ignore the friends and the cards and the pint and the fact that I'm at a terrasse please)
