Hi everyone!
I’m Marina, and I’m running to be your 2nd Year Academic Representative for Chemical Engineering.

I really hope you remember me from last year, when I had the privilege of serving as your 1st Year Academic Rep. Over that time, I gained valuable experience representing our cohort’s views, raising concerns with staff, and ensuring that your feedback led to real improvements.

Together with Leo and Arsh, we:

• Communicated your feedback effectively to lecturers, ensuring issues were addressed quickly.

• Improved the flow of information between students and staff, especially during assessment-heavy periods.

• Worked to make sure first-year voices were heard — from lab arrangements to coursework deadlines.

This year, I’m excited to continue working with our new Departmental Reps, to keep strengthening that connection between students and staff. Having already built strong relationships within the department, I’m confident we can work together to make our second year smoother and more supportive for everyone.

Most importantly, you know me — and I know you. I’ll continue being approachable, responsive, and proactive, making sure your voice is always heard.
