Lohith Valiveti

As a passionate Chemical Engineering student, the role of an Academic Rep provides opportunities for me to develop and demonstrate essential skills such as communication, collaboration and problem solving. Through my role, I hope to extend these skills to my peers , and ultimately create an engaging, efficient and successful learning environment for all.

Why me?

• I am multicultural - Until the age of 5, I grew up in a small village of 200 people with my grandparents. Then, I moved to Mumbai where I spent most of my childhood, and I've lived in Vienna for the past 4 years of my life. Throughout this journey, I have seen many different cultures, and most importantly experienced them all.
• I'm approachable and easy to talk to - If you ever see me in a lecture hall or during lunchtime, feel free to come up to me and start a conversation, ask for any help, or bring up something that you feel needs to be addressed.
• Im committed to making sure voices are heard - As your Academic rep, I wont hesitate to raise your concerns with staff and other students, even if it seems like a daunting task. I believe in respectful persistence, and making sure things are properly addressed

What I will do?

• Periodically listen to feedback from students
• Ensure effective communication between staff and students
• Help build a strong community within the Chemical Engineering Department
