Hi everyone! My name is Simra, I am a first-year medical student, and I would love to be our phase 1a academic representative :)
Studying medicine in a world class university can be challenging at times. So, whether you are an international student who has flown across countries to come here, someone who is living in halls or someone commuting from home, I want to be one of your first points of contact for any academic-related concerns!
I plan to frequently meet up and take your opinions of the assessments, teaching style and course structure. I will then work with and convey your thoughts to the ICSMSU Academic Officer for Early Years and faculty members to ensure a better experience for everyone this year and in the years to come. Having previously been in my school’s student council for 5 years, I have extensive experience in translating my peers' ideas into practical plans and am very enthusiastic in providing support to anyone and everyone who needs it!
