Marco Armanna

Hi everyone! I am Marco, and I am running to be your 1st Year Academic Rep for Materials Science and Engineering. I am Italian (kinda expected from the name) and moved to Imperial after completing the International Baccalaureate and spending a year studying Materials and Nanotechnology Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Milan. Having already been through the first-year rollercoaster once before, I know the challenges of adjusting to uni life ranging from understanding new systems to managing workloads and I would like to make that transition smoother for all of us. I am motivated, proactive, and definitely persistent, when I set a goal, I make it happen. As your rep, I will bring that same energy into representing everyone’s concerns, making sure your voices actually reach the people who can make changes. Whether that’s sorting out timetable confusion, improving communication, or raising any academic issues, I will be there to help get them resolved. I am approachable and easy to reach, message me on WhatsApp, Instagram, or Outlook anytime you want to chat, rant, or suggest ideas. My goal is to keep things running smoothly between students and staff and make sure our first year is challenging in the right ways and enjoyable too.
