Hi, I am Adithi, one of your academic representatives from last year, and I am running to continue as your representative in Year 2.

My role is to hear your concerns, communicate them effectively to the staff and bring about a solution. Last year, I focused on delivering on these promises: the AttendED app, which had severe issues, now functions properly and includes a feature to check your own attendance. Many of us struggled with the overload of content in the quantum lectures (it was me, I struggled), so the material has been adjusted for next year, and freshers will receive it in advance to reduce surprises.

Throughout the year, I heard your concerns concerning the pace and intensity of Maths and Physics lectures. After working with Joao, the module lead, we updated the teaching material for next year and introduced office hours to provide additional support.

As second-year students, most of us are struggling with the stress of finding summer internships and research positions. Hence, I will work with the staff to build a system in which research positions for UROP are published in a way that students can apply to them, similar to the system in some other departments.

Another concern is the lack of access to Year 2 past papers. I will work to resolve this issue and additionally include retake papers as study material for students.
