My first year was a rollercoaster. On the surface, my results were strong — and while I am proud of my successes, it wasn't easy. I struggled to find balance between ambition and well-being; achievement and meaning. But through that experience, I learned something invaluable: that true success isn’t about external validation, but about becoming someone you’re truly proud of, while enjoying the journey.
That lesson is why I believe I can serve this role in a way few others can. I’ve lived through the pressure and the burnout, and I’ve come out of it with a deep understanding of what students truly need. In an environment as demanding as ours, it's easy to feel overwhelmed: tackling difficult content, leading group projects, staying focused under heavy workloads, and not knowing where to find support. As your Academic Representative, I want to bring that understanding into our community.
I will be someone who genuinely listens and ensures every student feels seen, valued, and supported. Anyone should feel comfortable approaching me, not just as a representative, but as a friend who acts on what they hear. I’ll work to create a flexible and compassionate academic environment, encouraging those who wish to push further while allowing others to progress at their own pace. Through regular anonymous surveys and open communication with faculty, I’ll ensure that every voice — not just the loudest — is heard.
