Ethan Hewitt

As your academic representative I will be responsible for gathering and communicating your complaints/questions/feedback to the department staff. I believe the most important aspect of this role lies within the communication and collaboration skills of your representative, a quality I have built throughout the last few years. From leading societies at school, organising student neurodiversity events, and planning weekly lessons for younger pupils, each of these has required close coordination with staff, mirroring the role I would be performing as your academic representative. Being dyslexic, I will have a particular interest in ensuring the department can cater to all students’ learning differences and aim to work closely with Departmental Disability Officer to achieve this. Overall, I hope to reflect the needs and opinions of our cohort to create a smooth first year for us all.
