Plastic Surgery: Paediatric Plastic Surgery Conference Co-Chair

As Social Secretary of Iranian Society, I initiated outreach strategies that revived Imperial’s Persian community after years of inactivity, leading to regularly well-attended events. I have consistently organised gatherings with 100+ attendees from all London universities, strengthening my communication skills: crucial for planning the Paediatrics Conference with Kings.

Securing sponsors and coordinating with Union, partners, and societies for our Nowruz event highlights my ability to collaborate effectively, a skill I will apply when coordinating with the Finance and Publicity Team to maximise engagement.

Reactivating the society has connected me with the British Iranian Medical Association, a network of professionals valuable for securing new speakers and delegates, especially given plastics’ strong presence in the Persian medical community.

My dedication to iPRAS since beginning medical school, as a delegate and subcommittee member, has made me fluent in its logistics and areas for improvement. This insight will allow me to refine conferences, ensuring long-term impact.

I am eager to expand iPRAS’ charitable efforts, drawing from my experience in PotMed, Refugee Drives, and PlayTeams, by introducing a focus on Paediatric Humanitarian Crises: a topic of importance considering international efforts to intervene with such tragedies.

Pursuing my interest in ENT by shadowing ENT consultants allows me to comfortably integrate another interspecialty into iPRAS: facial plastics, supplementing the existing strength of orthoplastics within the society.

With a shared passion for paediatric humanitarian efforts, I am confident that Theodora and I’s combined experience will deliver a Paediatrics Conference to remember, fostering collaboration and lasting impression.
