Hello, I'm Shevitha and I'd love to be Deputy Editor for the Gazette next year!

As News Editor over the last year, I've had the chance to be part of a lovely committee of hard-working, creative people to help put together the magazine. I've also seen the society grow with the start of the Gazette Podcast, which I'm excited to see more of.

Though the role of a Deputy Editor is new, I'd be honoured to take on the new duties and responsibilities that come with the role to help the functioning of the committee. I believe I have the skillset fit for this position, as well as the creativity and enthusiasm to help with different aspects of the Gazette. I also enjoy planning and keeping things well-structured, which I feel will be integral parts of this new role.

My aims:

• Enhancing the current Gazette webpage and blog - through collaboration with the web team
• Build on current work on the podcast and its promotion to widen the audience - using the webpage and the Gazette social media
• Being a point-of-contact for the different members of the committee - regular check-ins with the different teams and organising committee socials to bring everyone together
