Foong Yee Lai

Hello everyone! My name is Foong Yee (they/them), and I would love to be part of IQ as a General Committee member.

It was disheartening to learn that a shortage of committee members last year led to the cancellation of much-anticipated events. When my friends in IQ encouraged me to run, I knew I wanted to step up and help make future events possible.

As a proud member of the queer community, I’ve always wanted to get more involved but never quite found the opportunity. With experience serving on the committees of several societies, I believe I have the skills and dedication to support IQ and help create more spaces for our community to connect and celebrate.

I can’t wait to meet you all and contribute to making IQ even more vibrant!
