Hi there! I'm Adara (or Addie), a first year BMB student from the UK/China running for BioMedical Events Officer Y1&2 :)

I would love to contribute to BioMedical, a uniting society of bioscientists that helps us advance our career prospects forward and promotes community between the cohort and year groups!

If elected I would:

1. Reach out to professors, industry professionals, researchers to arrange more panel discussions and pop-up career stalls
2. Contact other Imperial/London university societies to arrange more joint 'bio-centred' workshops
3. Listen to feedback with polls/always being an email away!
4. Advocate for BioMedical within Union/arranging logistics
5. Arrange socials eg. dinners, ice skating, quiz nights etc.
6. Help promote events on social media
7. Create networking opportunities with: startups, competitions, hackathons - all CV-esque things
8. Find volunteering opportunities for students

I want to make this society more interactive! I believe I have lots of both career-oriented and fun ideas that are innovative and engaging. With past experiences in running societies, I can handle logistics efficiently and I'm always happy to hear new ideas and collaborate.
