Hi everyone:) My name is Det, but you can just call me Bea !! I’m super thrilled to be running as Events Officer for the Biomed Y1&Y2 cohort! As a current first year student, I am enthusiastic to bring everyone together through impactful and engaging events that will enrich both of your social and academic aspects.

My numerous past experiences in organizing school events and fairs from planning budgets to arranging schedules and stalls have taught me the patience, resilience and effort of operating any enjoyable smooth-running events. I believe the skills and mentality I gained have equipped me to carry out this role in bringing life to the Biomed community.

My goals are to:

• Organize various events such as career talks, panels, workshops, social mixers, networking events with alumni and researchers in leading research topics, plus many more !!
• Establish inclusive, safe, and fun environment where every students can leave the venue feeling inspired, motivated, and excited about their journey ahead
• Strengthen and develop prosperous relationships with external partners as well as fostering a closer sense of community within the Biomedical society
• Ensure that all students feedbacks and suggestions are heard and implemented in future events
