Nina Khadra
Paediatrics isn’t just a specialty—it’s about community, education, and making a difference in children’s lives. I’m running for Community & Outreach Vice-Chair because I want to help strengthen ICSM’s involvement with paediatrics beyond the lecture hall, making it more accessible, engaging, and inspiring for students at all stages.
Why Me?
π Experienced in Outreach & Engagement – I’ve been on Right to Play committee for two years, most recently as Operations Manager, helping to organise and run large-scale outreach events like UH Curry Night—one of the biggest events on the med school calendar. I’ll bring the same enthusiasm and organisational skills to paediatrics-focused community projects and engagement initiatives.
π₯ Passionate About Paediatrics & Teaching – I’ve been part of the academic team for Paediatrics Society, helping run Mock PACES for 5th years. I know how to engage students in teaching and outreach, and I’ll work to strengthen community engagement opportunities for those interested in paeds.
π’ Confident in Organizing & Promoting Events – With experience from RAG Tour, Fashion Show Sponsorship, and MedEd Mock Exams, I know how to organize high-quality events, secure involvement, and keep people engaged—whether that’s recruiting volunteers for community projects or increasing student participation in paediatrics events.
What I’ll Do as Vice-Chair
β
Expand community outreach opportunities – more volunteering & engagement with children’s hospitals, schools & charities.
β
Increase awareness & accessibility of paediatrics as a career – through mentoring, Q&As, and outreach initiatives.
