Saad Ayub
My name is Saad Ayub, a 3rd year medical student and the Year 2 coordinator for Muslim Medics. Im applying for orthosoc research lead.
In terms of past experience, I've led a team of 12 final-year medical students and 2 GPs while working for MSID (Medical Schools in Difficulty), coordinating medical tutorial content for students in conflict zones globally. At Muslim Medics, I recruited senior students to deliver a series of 20 tutorials and have coordinated with external organisations to arrange large events like an in-person BRS Mock. These roles required teamwork, organisation and soft-skills. It also helped develop leadership-skills, particularly while working as a Group-Supervisor for MSID, motivating those in my team and troubleshooting where problems arose to come up with solutions.
I believe my interest and experiences have equipped me to take up the role. Thank you.
