FemTech: Media and Publicity Officer

Hello everyone, we are Nethra and Sageya, and we are running to be your FemTech Media and Publicity Officers! Through attending events organised by FemTech, we have developed a strong interest in technology addressing women’s health issues. We are eager to contribute to raising awareness about Femtech innovations and fostering a community around health empowerment.

Here is some experience that we believe make us well-suited to this role!

Nethra: As the PMIC Conference Lead, I managed real-time social media updates, posting stories and key takeaways on the day of the conference, ensuring high engagement and visibility. Through my involvement in Imperial Doctorpreneurs, Tamil Society, and the Global Health Society, I have gained experience in various roles in society and planning events, conferences and talks.

Sageya: As part of the MedTech subcommittee, I promoted the annual conference, created Instagram content, and liased with speakers to market the event. As ICSM Vision Society Social Media Officer and Webmaster, I led campaigns for MMI, UCAT, and BMAT days. As Head of Marketing for TSOC, I boosted engagement across Instagram, TikTok and Facebook, enhancing outreach to diverse audiences.

What we promise to do:

Help develop a strong social media presence for FemTech through instagram and TikTok
Advertise events, conferences and talks to increase engagement with the society
Keep people updated on the happenings of FemTech through social media
