Aishah Anjum
Hi, my name is Aishah and I’m a second-year medical student running for Head of Subcomittee in FemTech!
As someone with PCOS, I am passionate about advocating for women’s health issues that are often underrepresented, especially in the medical field. My personal experiences with healthcare, combined with witnessing gender bias in the system, have driven my commitment to pushing for change and improving understanding around conditions that affect women.
I have gained valuable leadership experience in roles such as SFP Lead for SORA, where I was responsible for coordinating events and initiatives, as well as Secretary for Neurosoc and Endosoc, where I've assisted in conferences. These positions have helped me develop strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills, which I would bring to the Subcommittee Head role.
I believe that leading a subcommittee would allow me to play a crucial role in shaping the society’s direction, ensuring we focus on important topics related to women’s health. I would aim to engage members through creative and impactful initiatives that raise awareness, promote inclusivity, and foster a supportive environment.
With the FemTech Society growing, I want to ensure we continue to provide opportunities for members to get involved, gain new experiences, and advocate for change. I’m excited about the opportunity to contribute to the society and help lead initiatives that drive awareness and empowerment in women’s health.
I would love your vote for me as Subcommittee Head!
Thank you!
