Sara Procacci

Hi, I’m Sara and I’m a year 2 biology student, and I think I would make a great Conference Lead for Immunology soc. My favourite area in immunology is vaccinology, where I hope to go into research, but my favourite cells are Treg cells.

Apart from being passionate about immunology, I think the traits that would make me a good Conference Lead are my organisation skills, as in high school I oversaw a school-wide fundraiser for the Ukrainian Red Cross, and I communicate well and really enjoy working in with other people. I find the idea of bringing many people together to talk about all the interesting aspects of immunology very exciting.

I think the conference is a great chance to expose more students to immunology. It's also a great CV-enriching experience (🫣) and apart from the poster competition, student-led lectures could also be a great way of allowing us students to develop our presenting skills.
