As a CTF-er of 5 years, I've seen CTF infrastructure crumble within 2 hours of the start and challenge design criticised by incredibly technically-capable 15 year olds, as well as having a small hand in running and designing CTFs (RACTF). Hence, I bring a few years of experience in CTFing to this role. Additonally, as a member of the UK Cyber Team, I am able to experience CTF design used for world-class international competitions and would be able to use those details to make cybersoc-run CTF events even better. If I ever have any difficulties with this job, I will be able to consult others outside of ICCyberSoc alone due to my extensive network of connections in the UK CTF space.
